Not many people get excited about going to the grocery store, especially when it feels like it costs your whole paycheck to feed your family healthy and delicious meals.
I know many parents and spouses hate the phrase “what’s for dinner?” And then there is your doctor, telling you to eat better and exercise more.
Believe me, I know it is hard to juggle jobs, family, and even school. But what if I told you we could help you spend less money at the grocery store, make food your family loves without spending hours in the kitchen, and get a better report card from your doctor?
How SNAP-Ed can help you
The Maine SNAP-Ed program is a statewide program that helps families learn to shop, cook, and eat healthy on a budget. We offer in-person classes on healthy eating and cooking instruction, grocery store tours, school-based programming, and now a great website for those that cannot make it to a class.
